Soooooo… I went jeans shopping this winter. In a perhaps ill-advised move, I bought some aqua colored jeans along with a pair of lavender and 4 normal colors. When they came–I shopped via internet–the aqua was way brighter than I’d thought. I shoved them in my closet until spring.
Along rolls this week. We’ve had 50 and 60 degree weather and I’ve been ill so I haven’t done laundry. Most of my pants are in the wash. I decided I’d call today ‘spring’. And here’s what ensued:
My son, 15, was in the living room and he looked up with wide eyes as I walked in. “Mom! Where did you get those pants?!”
Here it come, I thought. He’s going to mock them. “Why? Do you want a pair?” I asked.
“No, but they look just like the ones in my skate magazine.”
Whoa wait. So they’re cool? I have cool jeans? I’m in shock.
I spent some time in my cool jeans today writing a blog over on Writer’s Evolution. It’s about my favorite characters from other people’s books. Check it out!
