Good morning! For this week’s Six Sentence, I thought that I’d share a snip from my upcoming Daly Way, Briar’s Cowboys. Here goes:
Though it was legendary for its horse stock, one didn’t find the Flying D without knowing where it was at or having a great map. For Briar, it was the former—she’d never forget her way home.
Centuries-old trees canopied the path for a good fifteen minutes before thinning to finally reveal a sprawling spread that was one of the largest in all of the region, weighing in at over one-hundred-thousand acres. She could get lost here for days—and she needed that.
When her old friend, Robert Daly had invited her to come back, she’d known it was time.
There was nowhere like home to heal.
Tune in next week when I’ll share another Briar clip!!
