February Book Recommendations

This is not a drill! I have book recs for the weekend. Or the month—however you want to look at it. These are my book recommendations for February 2018.

Just some background here: I read a lot. A LOT. I always carry a Kindle with me, and out it comes whenever I have to wait (or I’m bored while waiting an eternity for NBC to play figure skating—but that’s another story). I read while eating. I read before bed.

How much is a lot? Well, as of today, I’ve read 63 books since the beginning of the year. In reviewing my list, I noticed several of my favorite authors have released books, but I just haven’t gotten to them yet. I bet some of them will show up on next month’s book recs.

Here are some of my favorites this month, in no particular order:

1. #Starstruck by Sariah Wilson

“You’ve done better.”
With one uncharacteristically sassy tweet to her longtime celebrity crush, Zoe Miller’s life turns upside down. Ultrahot A-lister Chase Covington doesn’t just respond to Zoe’s tweet, he does the unthinkable: he messages Zoe directly. Now she must decide between walking away or meeting her crush in person.
Chase knows better than to trust anyone from the Internet, but Zoe’s saucy challenge has totally caught his interest—and her girl-next-door personality is keeping it. He’s been burned enough to know he needs to keep his heart close. But his feelings for Zoe might be a lot more than just an online flirtation. He just has to convince her…
When the press gets wind of Zoe and Chase’s secret relationship, their romance turns into tabloid headlines. Will they be able to hold on to their Hollywood love story?

2. Coming Up Roses by LK Farlow

Myla Rose McGraw may be twenty, single, and pregnant, but she's no damsel in distress. She doesn't need a man. After all, her Grams taught her a thing or two about making lemonade out of life's lemons.
Then she meets Cash Carson.
Reeling from a bad breakup, Cash has sworn off love. It led to nothing but pain and misery, and he’s determined to move forward alone.
Until a redheaded Southern beauty crashes into him. With her shopping cart. At the local Piggly Wiggly.
If love wasn't for him, why did his heart beat a little faster every time Myla Rose sent that sweet smile his way?
He was no knight, and she didn't need saving.
But damn if he didn't want to try anyway.
COMING UP ROSES is a sweet, Southern fairy tale—with a twist.

3. Keeping Her Warm by Alexa Riley

Catherine has fallen on desperate times and has done some things she’s not proud of.
Cole is the beloved town sheriff, but he’s missing something in his life.
When a snow storm hits and the two of them are thrown together, things heat up. But when Catherine’s truth is exposed, will Cole still need her warmth?
Warning: Fire ignites in this insta-love quickie, so grab a bucket of ice to go with it. Find out what happens in this small-town romance that’s full of sexy snuggles and alpha ownership.

4. From This Day Forward by Fiona Davenport

Quinn Evans knew Jenna Davis was the woman for him the moment he spotted her. Five years, a stint in the military, and the longest engagement in the history of mankind hasn’t changed his mind.
It’s a good thing there are only three months to go until their wedding because he’s about ready to toss her over his shoulder for a quick ceremony at the courthouse. But when she turns up missing, all bets are off as he races the clock to rescue his bride… and their unborn child.

5. Say You’re Mine by Jenika Snow

She was mine before I even knew her name...
Felix
When I first saw Maggie, I knew we'd be the best of friends. I wanted that desperately, wanted her in my life, and I'd do anything to make sure that happened.
Until Maggie came in my life I didn't know what love was.
She'll be my first and last.
I'll be her only.
Maggie
I didn't know I could have a friendship like the one I have with Felix. But the friend-zone wall has always been in place. Being too afraid to cross it, I'd rather be in Felix's life than tarnish the relationship we have.
Too much time has passed. I'm done being afraid of the what-ifs. I'm ready to admit how I feel for him, consequences or not.
Felix
Maggie doesn't know the lengths I'll go to keep her in my life, but she will, because the very idea of her with someone else is not something I'll even entertain. She's always been mine, and it's time I step up and show her how much I love her.
My devotion for her goes to the very depths of my soul, and staying back as she lives her life without me by her side is absolutely not an option.
I know once I finally have her in all ways it'll be the most explosive experience of my life.
Warning: This story is so sweet (and of course dirty) it might give you a stomachache, but it will be worth it. It's short, with detailed first time sexiness, and features a virgin hero and heroine that know exactly what they are doing between the sheets.

6. After Care by L.B. Dunbar

A romance for the over 40.
Breast cancer survivor Edie Williams is ready to live. Divorced. Mother of two. She’s planned the vacation of a lifetime for a reboot, only to encounter an awakening adventure—Tommy Carrigan.
Manager of the band Collision, Tommy Carrigan has his plate full. Independent. Carefree. He’s on an annual holiday with his band family, when the unexpected happens—Edie Williams.
Love might be just what the doctor prescribed, but can it survive the world of rock-n-roll?

7. Mail Ordered Bride by Tory Baker

He ordered a sweet little bride. He got her.
In the wilds of Alaska single women are few and far between.
An online site to find the perfect bride seems ridiculous, but Stone is willing to give it a try.
As he looks at Carly’s pictures and reads her words, he’s convinced she’s the one.
He spends his nights imagining what it will be like to finally touch her, to sink inside and hear her cry out his name. When she finally gets there, she’ll be lucky if he doesn’t tie her to his bed.
Too bad the woman getting off the plane is not the one he agreed to marry.

8. Wrecked by Arabella Abbing

Brandon Jensen was a legend.
Known for his wealth and ruthlessness, he ran his company with the single-minded focus of a man possessed. Brandon had been working non-stop for nearly a decade.
Even after he seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth.
No one saw him anymore. Not his employees or his family. But the missing persons investigation had been closed and his business continued to run like he never left.
The disappearance of my stepbrother was a mystery that plagued my thoughts almost every night until a letter arrived in my mailbox.
A plea for my help, signed with his initials.
Even though we parted on bad terms after our last falling out, I couldn’t resist my chance to get answers.
The reason behind his disappearance became clear the moment my eyes landed on his face for the first time in five years.
** Wrecked is a full-length stepbrother romance novel complete with a happy ending. Wrecked is perfect for any reader who would like a break from typical alpha males. No cheating and no cliffhanger. **

9. Wrangling His Virgin by Jenika Snow and Bella Love-Wins

I'm going to rope her in and make her mine.
Lila
I ran from him, from my feelings … from my hometown, all because I was too afraid of how I felt. I was gone for years, trying to stay away because I thought that was the best. I was wrong. But I’m back now, and my feelings for Logan haven’t changed, haven’t dimmed.
I love him, have always loved him.
And it’s time I face reality and tell him how I felt all those years ago. It’s time I finally be truthful and hope that I don’t cross lines and ruin the most important relationship I have.
Because not having Logan in my life is not an option.
Logan
From the second I saw her, I knew she was my girl. But I was a fool and let her slip away. She was gone without a trace for years, but now she's back.
That face, the kindness in her eyes, those curves, that fire between us still raging hotter than summer in the desert. I'm surer than ever. Lila is still perfect for me.
I doubt she'll give me another chance this time around, but I don't care. I won't give her up. Not without answers. Not without a fight.
Warning: Jenika and Bella teamed up to bring you this short and filthy romance about a hero who finally gets the girl he's loved. Get your cowboy hat on, kick up your boots, and grab a cold glass of water. You’re in for one hell of a ride.

10. Every Inch of You by Kayley Loring

VIVIAN: I’m in hell. Three months ago I got dumped and it sent me into a downward spiral of red wine and pie. Now my Type A sister is getting married and she’s hired me a personal trainer so I can look respectable standing next to her as the maid of honor.
The good news: she’s paying for the hottest hard-ass personal trainer in town.
The bad news: he used to be the fat kid at my high school, the one my popular friends bullied. He was my friend, the first boy I'd ever kissed, and he claimed I broke his heart.
The worst news: He is now the hottest man I have ever known, still hasn't forgiven me, and I have never wanted anyone more in my life. But I can’t erase the past any easier than I can get rid of those stubborn last five pounds.
BRAD: A fat boy’s best revenge is to work out, get hot, and then get all the women. In high school, I only wanted one girl. Fate has brought her to my gym, and I am going to make her feel the burn like she’s never felt it before.
My plan is to torture her with ab work, get her to fall for me, then blow her off and break her heart, like she did to me.
But she’s making it so damned hard…to do that last part.
I hope she doesn’t figure out that deep down I’m still Fat Brad, the book nerd who eats his feelings and would do anything just to kiss her.
Every Inch of You is a standalone funny sexy second chance romance with lots of laughs, plenty of steam, an HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. It'll work your heart, your core and your glutes!

Enjoy!!
